Comprehensive Systemic Solutions (CSS)
Districts participating in the Comprehensive Systemic Solutions (CSS) will receive ongoing professional development at reduced or no cost, ongoing technical assistance from the Teaching & Learning and Leadership consultants, and the following support:
Results-Driven Leadership & Instruction (RDLI) Professional Development Support
Leadership Learning and Networking (Counselors and Administrators)
Campus leaders will have opportunities to participate in sessions that are relevant and timely based on hot topics in education and instructional leadership. Following the sessions scheduled, time will be provided for principals/assistant principals/campus leadership to have opportunities to collaborate and problem solve as a group.
Leadership Learning and Network sessions will take place two times a year at various locations throughout the region.

Teacher professional development will be offered in grade level bands in all content areas (Math, Science, English Language Arts/Reading, and Social Studies) targeting focus standards from the content and process TEKS in two distinct rounds of delivery. These trainings will be hosted in multiple locations for ease of travel and for the support of teacher networking.
Online Learning Support for Administrators & Teachers - escU
Accessing the online learning management system, escU, will provide an avenue for teachers to participate in eLearning focusing on content and process TEKS through video shorts, classroom activities, and eLearning courses that are supported through other identified resources.
On-Site District Support for Teachers
This support consists of two days of strategic instruction conducted by content teams of up to seven ESC consultants as scheduled by the district. The options for this professional development are listed in the chart below.
BrightBytes Clarity: Technology Integration
Learn more about your district’s technology use for student learning!Region 18 has partnered with BrightBytes’ learning analytics company to offer their Technology and Learning module for free! Combine data with educational research to inform and measure the effectiveness of technology use in your district. Participate in a survey collection, review data, and receive recommendations for how to enhance the digital learning environment on campus in four areas: Classroom, Access, Skills, and Environment in a user friendly, online platform.
Fees for CSS will be determined for each district individually for 2018-2019 based on number of campuses and/or number of teachers in the district. Districts will be provided the fee when registration opens in Programs and Services.
