Suzanne Blume brings over 20 years of dedicated experience in special education, with a deep-seated passion for supporting students with special needs. She is a certified Special Education Teacher and Educational Diagnostician, with expertise in behavior disorders, life skills, dyslexia, and evaluations. Her commitment to the field is personal and lifelong—shaped by her love for her sister, an adult with special needs.

Suzanne Blume has served as a Region 18 Consultant for Special Populations, where she provided guidance, coaching, and professional development for educators across the region. She now serves as the Strategic Integration Liaison, supporting the implementation and alignment of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) to ensure cohesive, student-centered services.

Her commitment to the field is personal and lifelong, shaped by her love for her sister, an adult with special needs.

Throughout her career, Suzanne has mentored new diagnosticians and case managers, and led district-level training initiatives to support Special Education Teachers, Coordinators, and Administrators. She has worked in districts across Conroe, Houston, Austin, and Dallas, served on numerous school committees, and continues to volunteer with organizations that support individuals with disabilities.

Suzanne holds a Bachelor of Science in Special Education with a minor in Art from Sam Houston State University (SHSU) and a Master’s in Autism, Emotional & Behavioral Disorders with a minor in Adult Education from Texas State University (TSU). She earned her Educational Diagnostician Certification through SHSU in 2014 and completed the Region 6 Leadership Program. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate, further deepening her research and impact in the field of special education.
